ACCIDENT NEAR TYSON INJURES ONE

A Young America woman was injured yesterday in a two-vehicle accident on the US 24/35 interchange near Tyson Foods. It happened around 11:15 Tuesday morning. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says a van driven by 18 year old Cheyenne Raderstorf of Young America was southbound on US 35/SR 29 at the US 24 when it was struck by a car driven by 33 year old Andrew Richey of Logansport that was traveling west on the US 24 collector distributor ramp at the interchange. Authorities say as Richey attempted to cross US 35 and SR 29, his vehicle struck Raderstorf’s. Richey’s vehicle came to rest on the roadway while Raderstorf’s traveled off the southwest side of the intersection and struck a cement bridge support. Raderstorf was taken by ambulance to Logansport Memorial Hospital with lower leg and knee injuries. Both vehicles were a total loss.
