LITERACY VOLUNTEERS PLANNING FUNDRAISER

The Literacy Volunteers of Cass County will host their 24th annual Great Grown Up Spelling Bee at 7 pm on October 13. It’s a written spelling bee with 50 regular words and 10 tie breakers and last year, 13 teams of three spellers and an alternate participated. Today is the registration deadline if your business or organization would like to form a team, or you just want to sponsor a team. The cost is $100 and it’s tax deductible. All proceeds support Literacy Volunteers of Cass County’s mission, which is to provide tutoring for adults who need help with literacy or English skills, including those working on their citizenship.
