FLAGS AT HALF-STAFF

In accordance with a presidential proclamation issued last night, Governor Mike Pence is directing that flags at state facilities be flown at half-staff in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris, France. Governor Pence also asks businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the attacks in Paris, France. Flags should be flown at half-staff effective immediately until sunset on Thursday, November 19, 2015.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS) and Indiana State Police (ISP) have been directed to work closely with federal and local officials. Governor Pence's Homeland Security Advisor and the Indiana Fusion Center Director joined their counterparts from around the country to hear from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security intelligence officials about the attacks in Paris.

State officials are very closely monitoring the situation in France and will be taking necessary precautions for citizens. As of this weekend, they said no threat information with regard to Indiana has been identified. Hoosiers are urged to be vigilant in the wake of these horrendous attacks. IDHS and ISP remind people that “if they see something suspicious, say something” by calling 1-877-226-1026. If danger is imminent, call 911.
