CCVB TO AWARD GRANTS

The Cass County Visitors Bureau has announced that 2016, it will be awarding three major grants of up to $2000 and eight mini-grants of up to $500.

Rules and regulation for funding requests and grant applications will be available in the CCVB office between 8am and noon, Monday through Friday or electronically by contacting Toni Savini at info@visit-casscounty.com after January 4, 2016. To be eligible for one of the major grants, your grant application must be returned to the Cass County Visitors Bureau by Noon on February 15, 2016. The grant recipients will be announced on March 15, 2016.

Any Not-for-Profit that has received $10,000 or more in funding from the CCVB in a five year period will be required to submit a Reviewed Statement of Accounts by an External Accountant with their next grant request.

Mini grant applications will be accepted throughout 2016 but must be in the CCVB office by the 20th of the month for consideration at the following month’s regularly scheduled meeting.

Recipients of the 2015 major grants were Logansport Youth Baseball who was granted $1250.00 to assist them with the Ohio Valley Baseball Tournament, held in Logansport, the Cass County Arts Alliance (CCAA) who received $1000.00 in funding to market Art on the Avenue, and Logan’s Landing who received $500.00 in funds to market Taste of Cass County to out-of-county visitors. The Cass County Historical Society received a $500 mini grant. Other mini grants distributed were to the Panhandle Pathway bike rack project, Performing Arts Council 2015 Season, 2 Rivers on 2 Wheels Bike Tour marketing and the Panhandle Pathway brochure update.
