LOGANSPORT STUDENT SELECTED TO ALL STATE BAND

A Logansport 8th grader has been selected to the Indiana Junior High All State Band. Trumpeter Luke Fincher is a student at Lincoln Middle School and is the son of Lauren and Dutch Fincher. He has been studying trumpet with local trumpet teacher and Rochester educator Dave Danhauser since he was in 3rd grade. According to Logansport Bands, he is one of only 13 trumpet students from grades 7-9 to be chosen statewide. Fincher will get to travel and rehearse with other high achieving students from across the state for two days. The band will then perform during the Indiana Music Educators Convention at the historic Embassy Theater in downtown Fort Wayne on January 16 at 9:30 am.
