City Officials To Meet With NextEra
It’s still up in the air whether NextEra Energy will provide Logansport’s electricity. City leaders are planning to meet with the company executives next week before deciding whether or not to enter into negotiations with the company. NextEra, a Florida company, is proposing a five year deal. Last night, company vice president Michael Toal spoke to a gathering of about 60 people in Logansport’s Riverside Park. He said the company feels it can provide a better deal than the city’s current provide, whose contract expires in 2018. The city’s attorneys are recommending NextEra over five other company proposals.
