Julian Ridlen - Bicentennial Citizen of the Week
The Last Logansport resident to hold a statewide office is the latest recipient of a special Logansport award. Julian Ridlen, a Logansport attorney and former Cass Circuit Court and Logansport City judge, has been named the Logansport Bicentennial Citizen of the Week. Ridlen served two terms as state treasure during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. During his tenure, he created the Indiana Bond Bank. A Republican, Ridlen ran for Congress in n1986 as a candidate in the former 5th District which included Logansports and the entire area. Ridlen will receive an Indiana state flag and a certificate from mayor Dave Kitchell.
