United Way Names New Leader

The United Way of Cass County now has a new leader… sort of. Chris Armstrong has been chosen as executive director after spending the last several months as the acting director. In January, Armstrong was hired as the United Way’s director of donor relations, but she quickly was hoisted to the interim director job after Joyce Mayhill retired in March. Armstrong is also the former community development director for the city of Logansport. A press release from the United Way says Armstrong was hired because of her strong background in non-profit organizations, as well as her experience in community development. The annual United Way rally is scheduled for August 5th.
