Bunker Hill Council Sued By Former President

A lawsuit is now filed against the Bunker Hill Town Council by its former president. According to the Pharos-Tribune, Robert Cox is alleging the current council held a meeting on June 13th without giving any public notice. State law requires advance public notice of any meeting. Cox also says in the allegation that the council routinely violates the state’s open meetings act. During the meeting, the council passed a new ordinance defining the office of town marshal. Cox wants that ordinance repealed.
