Five Notre Dame Football Players Arrested In Fulton County

A traffic stop in Fulton County now making national headlines, after authorities arrested five Notre Dame football players for possession of marijuana over the weekend. Records also indicate that three of the men are also facing charges of carrying a handgun without a license. Floyd Redfield, Ashton White, Dexter Williams, Winter Garden, and Te’Von Coney were in a car on US 31 near 375 North Friday night when a trooper reportedly pulled the car over for an improper taillight. A news release from the state patrol says the trooper smelled pot coming from the car and his dog also alerted. Notre Dame issued a statement Saturday saying all five men could face dismissal from the university.
