Man Injured In Fall From Deck

Authorities say a man fell from the deck of a home in Peru Sunday, suffering serious injuries due to the 15 foot drop. 21 year-old Robert Sprague the Second was at the home in the 200 block of Duke Street when the incident occurred at about 4:00 a.m. Deputies say there was a small party going on at the house when Sprague became intoxicated. As he attempted to sit down on the deck, he fell back through an opening in the railing. A police report says Sprague was bleeding from the ears and paramedics airlifted him to a hospital in Fort Wayne. His condition was upgraded Monday to stable.
