Cass County Health Department Offers Flu Vaccine

The Cass County Health Department will be offering free seasonal flu vaccines to children 6 months to 18 years of age on Wednesday, February 15th by appointment only. This clinic is only for children 6 months to 18 years of age who have Medicaid, no health insurance or have health insurance that does not cover flu vaccine.

Adults who wish to receive flu vaccine can walk in to the Cass Health Department on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 8:00 am to 11:30 am or 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm throughout February. The cost for adults is $20 payable with cash or check. The health department does not bill insurance or Medicare.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends everyone at least six months of age and older receive flu vaccine. Reports of influenza is on the rise in Indiana and locally. This flu season only injections will be available.
