A Maconaquah Middle School Student won the North Central Indiana Regional Spelling Bee Tuesday evening and will compete in the 2017 Scripps National Spelling Bee. Anastasia Spahr outlasted 21 other spellers from Howard, Tipton, Miami, Cass and Fulton counties. Her winning word was “anomaly”. Spahr was also the 2014 regional champion and participated in the national bee that year.
