LOGANSPORT WOMAN SENTENCED


A Logansport woman has been sentenced to 30 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections for dealing heroin. Court documents state that on June 19, 2014, officers with the Logansport Police Department & the Cass County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant at 1525 Douglas Street. 37-year-old Kelly Koranda’s arrest stemmed from heroin discovered during the search. Yesterday, Cass County Prosecuting Attorney Lisa Swaim announced that Koranda was sentenced to a total of 30 years, with 25 to be served in the Indiana Department of Corrections, followed by five years suspended and on probation.
