Democrats have filled one of the empty seats on the ballot for November’s city Election. Larry Hood, who ran for mayor on the Republican ticket earlier this month, will face Republican Joe Buck for the Logansport City Council’s 2nd ward seat. Hood was appointed by Republicans to represent the 2nd ward when Amy Sweet resigned in 2010. He did not run for office in 2011 but was appointed by the Logansport City Council to serve on the Redevelopment Commission in 2012. Ward 2 includes the city’s south side and, if the southwest annexation goes through, would represent voters in that area as well. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
