COMMUNITY MEETINGS SET

A public meeting is set for 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Logansport City Council chambers to discuss potential brownfield sites. Community development director Chris Armstrong says the city wants further public input to see what should be looked at in the final stages of the EPA grant process. The public is invited and will be asked what properties they feel should be looked. Once a list is created it will be compared to the current list and then narrowed down. Joel Markland from Bruce Carter & Associates will be at the meeting to share what has been done so far and guide the city through the process.

A special meeting of the Logansport Redevelopment Commission, to hire a contractor to construct the spec building in the industrial park, will follow.
The Logansport City Council will meet at 5 p.m. tonight and is expected to consider creation of a city economic development department, and an appropriation for expenses to renovate the Penman Building to serve as incubabtor office space. The commissioners meet at 1 p.m. today.
