LOGANSPORT MAN CONVICTED ON DRUG CHARGES
A Cass County jury convicted a 39 year old Logansport man of charges that include manufacturing and dealing methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance. Cass County prosecuting attorney Lisa Swaim said the case stems from a March 31 search warrant served at 2209 E. Wabash River Road, where officers smelled a chemical smell they knew to be associated with a meth lab. 39 year old Alan Dewitt and 34 year old Jessie Dewitt of Logansport were arrested at the scene. Alan Dewitt was convicted by the jury and is currently set for sentencing in Cass County Circuit Court at 1 o’clock on July 16. Jessie dewitt is set for a pretrial conference on August 6.
