SENATOR ANNOUNCES STUDY COMMITTEES

State Sen. Randy Head (R-Logansport) will serve on the following study committees, commissions and councils during the summer and fall months to help prepare for the 2016 session of the General Assembly:

Interim Study Committee on Courts and the Judiciary
Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications
Native American Indian Affairs Commission
Military Base Planning Council

“I am particularly enthusiastic about my assignments because I represent both Grissom Air Reserve Base and the Miami Nation of Indiana Headquarters,” Head said. “Serving on the Indian Affairs Commission and the Military Base Planning Council will be an opportunity for me to further my understanding of these entities and how to best serve them as their state senator. In addition, serving on the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Telecommunications is important for Senate District 18 as we explore options for affordable broadband and innovative energy production in rural areas.”

When Indiana’s part-time legislature is not in session, lawmakers are assigned to interim study committees that meet to review the state’s top issues, as identified by the General Assembly during the prior legislative session.
