Logansport police call multiple acts of graffiti reported June 14 by a Logansport citizen “extreme vandalism” but say they have not been linked to criminal gang activity. The Logansport Patrol Division reports various homes, garages, vehicles, fences, street signs, and a local business were spray painted. The graffiti ranged from foul language to incoherent sayings and pictures. Upwards of 20 property owners reported over 30 pieces of property vandalized with black spray paint. The majority of the graffiti took place on the north west side of town, on West Linden, West Miami, Brown Street, Wheatland and the 1100 block of Erie Avenue. In a press release issued yesterday, police say that through examination of the documented graffiti and other resources, it’s clear the case is nothing more than extreme vandalism.
According to the release, the Logansport Police Department has been contact with the Family Opportunity Center and will be coordinating a cleanup through their Community Service Program.
