GIRL SCOUTS CELEBRATING CAMP WILDWOOD

One of Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana – Michiana’s most beloved, and oldest camps is turning nifty and fifty…five! From office space in the Logansport City Building for over forty years, to over 40 acres of preserved camp grounds, we invite you to celebrate CampWildwood’s longevity with tours of the newly renovated Studio of Dreams, and Dunbar Gathering Center, cake & ice cream, and a prized scavenger hunt that lets you explore the beauty of camp!

During the last five decades Camp Wildwood has endured 4 council merges, but has always remained a staple of our northern Indiana Girl Scout legacy. The history began when the Logansport Exchange Club donated a 46-acre wooded tract in Logansport to Girl Scouts; which was then referred to as the Wildwood Girl Scout Program Center. In October, 1979, it welcomed the growth and dedication of a new structure on site; the Dunbar House Girl Scout Service Center, named after June Dunbar, who was the Tribal Trails Girl Scout Council’s first Cookie Lady.

Please join us on July 25th from 11am – 2pm to help celebrate this awesome property and camp that has played an integral part in making Girl Scout memories for over 5 decades! CampWildwood is located at 303 E. Clay Street, Logansport, IN 46947. This event is free!
