TEEN INJURED IN FARM ACCIDENT
An Akron teen was injured Thursday afternoon in a farm accident northeast of Twelve Mile. The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says 17 year old Henry Schwartz was working with a hay wrapping machine at a farm on CR 900 N when his hand became caught in the farm equipment. Twelve Mile First Responders from the 12 Mile Fire Department, along with Prompt Ambulance Service, were able to free him from the machinery after cutting some of it away. Schwartz was flown by helicopter from the scene to Fort Wayne.
