TWO INJURED IN WEEKEND SHOOTING IN FULTON COUNTY

Two people were flown to a Fort Wayne Hospital after a weekend shooting in rural Fulton County. It happened around 1:20 a.m. Saturday in rural Culver. When officers arrived they found 32 year old Jeffery Greer lying outside the home with an apparent gunshot wound to his face. His estranged wife was found inside the home and also appeared to to have a gunshot to the face. Both were conscious and alert but were flown by helicopter to a Fort Wayne Hospital where they were listed in critical condition. Preliminary investigation by the Indiana State Police revealed that the incident allegedly stemmed from a domestic dispute and that Greer allegedly broke into the home and shot his estranged wife, then himself. Two children were inside the residence at the time of the shooting and were not physically injured -- they were placed into the care of the Fulton County Division of the Indiana Department of Child Services. Investigation into the case continues.
