RADIO STATIONS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT

WSAL, Mix 102 and Hoosier Country 103.7 are under new management as of this month.

Dan and Lisa Keister, who’ve led the stations for the past 10 years, are retiring. Dan was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease 3 years ago and underwent a successful surgical procedure this fall to control the symptoms. The Keisters plan to travel.

Ken and Tammy Holtzinger, of State College Pennsylvania, will serve as general manager and office/traffic manager respectively, for WHZR, WLHM and WSAL. Most recently, Ken Holtzinger was a consultant to the television, radio and newspaper industries on the sales management side. Tammy Holtzinger retired from Penn State University after 30 years of service.

WHZR, WHLM and WSAL are owned by Mid-America Radio of Logansport, led by president and founder Dave Keister.

“This is really exciting,” Mid-America Radio of Logansport president and founder Dave Keister says. “We have enjoyed the operation in Logansport for many years and I’m looking forward to moving forward now with Ken and Tammy. They’re committed to move to Logansport and make that their hometown. As I was searching for someone to replace Dan and Lisa, as Dan is retiring, I talked to a number of people, and it just seemed that the perfect fit was Ken at the helm of the radio station and Tammy there to assist him. We’re looking forward to many more years of serving Cass County and Logansport.”
