AMBULANCE MOVING TO FIRE STATION

Logansport Mayor Dave Kitchell says the 22nd Street Fire Station will be used again -- after a meeting between Fire Chief Bernie Mittica and Prompt Ambulance. Kitchell says Prompt conducted an analysis of their ambulance runs and most of the calls are in Logansport, with a majority in the east end and a high frequency in Clay Township. Kitchell says putting an ambulance at the 22nd Street fire station will reduce the response times significantly and also allow them to transport to Kokomo faster if they have to do that. Mittica wanted to pursue when he became fire chief.
