NEW APP SERVES CASS COUNTY

The Cass County Visitors Bureau will be launching a new mobile app that will appeal to residents of Cass County as well as visitors to the area. The Board of Directors was motivated by statistics that a large segment of the traveling public depends on mobile devices for information. The Bureau worked with Blueridge, an Indiana based company, which provides a platform, app studio and support for the app building process. The app includes listings like local events, shopping, eateries, attractions, lodging, and outdoor recreation. The Bureau stated the ability to direct dial from a posted listing to the business will be a key feature in the app. It also features GPS locations and allows users to share events and listings through messaging, Facebook or e-mail. The Cass County Visitors Bureau markets Cass County through print advertising and on multiple websites. They also work with the Rural & Rustic and the Eastern Region Tourism Marketing groups to market Cass County regionally with local events through a grant process to assist with marketing funds. The official launch date for the app is March 9.
