GREGG SELECTS REP. CHRISTINE HALE AS RUNNING MATE
Democrat John Gregg has selected state Rep. Christina Hale as his running mate in the Indiana governor's race. Gregg formally introduced her as his pick for lieutenant governor at a 9:30 AM news conference at the Downtown Indianapolis Artsgarden. Hale was first elected to the State House in 2012 and represents a district on the north side of Indianapolis. Hale is a former Kiwanis International executive and has been a vocal advocate for victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse during her time in the Legislature. Gregg and Republican Gov. Mike Pence are in the thick of what appears to be quite the rematch of the 2012 election that Pence narrowly won.
