LHS ANNOUNCES FIRST ANNUAL "GRADUATION WALK"
This Spring, Graduating seniors from Logansport High School will be conducting their first “Graduation Walk”. We spoke with LHS Principal Matt Jones who said the inspiration came from other schools across the country publicizing their own similar events. Jones says the Graduation Walk will be special, important, and impactful. On the afternoon of Friday, May 20, this year’s graduating seniors (the 145th class in school history) will be heading to the elementary and middle schools they attended, in caps and gowns, to walk the halls, get high-fives from younger students, hug their little brother or sister, hug former teachers, and take pictures. The goal is to influence younger students on how important and special it is to graduate and to work hard, so that those young students see themselves in that cap and gown in the future. Principal Jones says they hope the event will become an annual tradition.
