POOL COMMITTEE MEETS, DISCUSSES PLAN OF ACTION

A special session of the Board of Parks and Recreation “Pool Committee” met last night to discuss a plan of action to get the Muehlhausen Park Aquatic Center pool up and running for the season. Various board members, city officials, pool staff members, and contractors were on hand for the session, including Randall Miller & Associates, who headed the construction project last summer. Issues that were acknowledged and will be addressed include the girls' shower room floor, drainage in girls' shower room, electrical needs to the basketball court and shelter, booster pump for the splash pad, phone hook-up, and  pool start-up and shut-down services. Board members plan to attend the City Council Finance Committee Meeting on Monday, May 23, at 6:00 pm, to discuss funding options for the work that needs to be done.
