16 year old in critical condition
A 16-year-old is in critical condition yesterday after he was rescued from nearly drowning on private property near Logansport. According to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Brandon Kinser had been swimming on private property during a baseball awards banquet near the intersection of 400 North and 950 East, near Hoover, when witnesses said he began struggling to stay above water. When several others realized the teen was having trouble, they jumped in to help him, according to IDNR. Two people found Brandon underwater and brought him up to a nearby boat. Brandon was transported by Samaritan Helicopter to Parkview Regional Medical Center, where the IDNR said he is still listed in critical condition. Brandon is a junior this upcoming year at Caston Jr.-Sr. High School and a member of the school’s baseball team.
