Logansport Men Sentenced for Burlgaries

Two Logansport men have been sentenced for their involvement in a string of 2016 burglaries in Cass County. 46 year-old Jeffrey Conn pled guilty to the burglary of a pole barn that occurred in April as well as the burglary of Exide Factory in December. Conn was sentenced to 12 years in the IN Department of Correction with 4 years suspended due to probation and was ordered to pay restitution. 46 year-old Michael Scott Hunter also pled guilty to the April pole barn robbery and was sentenced yesterday to 6 years in the IN Department of Correction with 3 years suspended due to probation and was also ordered to pay restitution. In a press release Prosecutor Lisa Swaim stated, “I commend the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and particularly detectives Dale Campbell, Tom Heflin, and Kevin Pruiett for their excellent work on this case.”
