Cass County Prosecutor Lisa Swaim announced yesterday that 38 year-old Kenny Wayne Purvis of Silver Lake has been sentenced to twelve years in the Department of Correction for his involvement in a theft ring targeting the Logansport Wal-Mart.
Purvis was previously found guilty by a jury in Cass Superior Court 2 of Corrupt Business Influence, a Level 5 Felony, as well as Conspiracy to Commit Theft and Theft. The charges stemmed from a series of thefts in which Purvis and several other individuals entered the store in groups and stole merchandise which was later sold online.
