Indiana Women Still Earn Less than Men

An analysis released for Equal Pay Day reveals Indiana women employed full time, year-round in Indiana are paid just 76 cents for every dollar paid to men, amounting to a yearly gap of over $11,000. The new analysis was conducted by the National Partnership for Women & Families using data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Equal Pay Day marks how far into the new year women must work in order to catch up with what men were paid in the year before. This year it is recognized today, April 4.
