Man Steals Car with Child Inside

An Indianapolis man was arrested after stealing a vehicle in Fulton County. 40 year-old Michael V. Rosa stole a 2010 Buick Lacrosse from the Speedway gas station in Rochester Monday, dragging the owner of the Buick as she was removing her five year old child from the car while the theft was in progress. Trooper Matthew Moon was patrolling US 31 northbound near the location when he spotted the Buick traveling southbound in excess of 100 miles per hour. Rosa led officers on a short pursuit before pulling over just south of SR 16 in Miami County where he was taken into custody. According to authorities Rosa was very combative while in custody, threatening officers with their lives and trying to spit on the officers. He is facing multiple felony charges in both Fulton and Miami Counties.
