Three Killed in Miami County Car Accident

Three people are dead after a car accident last night in Miami County. According to Indiana State police 86 year-old William Thorn of Peru was, for an undetermined reason, driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 24 near CR 250 N. His vehicle struck a car driven by 18 year-old Ethan Richman of Kokomo head on. Richman had a passenger with him, 19 year old Lea Byers of Greentown. All three people were killed in the accident, which remains under investigation. Police say everyone was wearing seat belts and neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected as having contributed to the crash.
