Reminder from City Regarding Contractors and Tree Cutting

The city is reminding residents that if you hire a contractor to trim your trees or bushes, please be aware the city does not clean up after contractors.  Be sure your contractor prices the job to include removing all brush. Also contractors must be registered with the city to cut down trees. Contractors and residents must obtain approval from the Board of Public Works to drop a tree on a city street or close any part of a street while cutting.  Brush may not be placed or left on the street.
