State Health Officials Encourage Hepatitis Testing
State health experts are urging Indiana residents to get tested for hepatitis as the month of May is Hepatitis Awareness Month. According to the CDC, nearly three-fourths of people who have the disease are unaware of their infection and are not receiving treatment. There are three different kinds of hepatitis. Hepatitis A is acute and resolves on its own. Hepatitis B and C can last for decades.
