SPANISH FISHING GUIDE AVAILABLE

The DNR Division of Fish & Wildlife (DFW) has released a six-page fishing regulation booklet in Spanish. According to the Department of Natural resources, the idea was spurred by research by the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation (RBFF) that showed Latinos nationwide enjoy outdoor activities, but participate in fishing at lower rates. The DNR hopes to help Spanish-speakers overcome barriers, such as lack of information and experience, with this condensed version of the 2015 fishing guide, in Spanish. The guide can be found at fishing.IN.gov. State hunting regulations will also be translated in a similar format for the 2015-16 seasons.
