Two more incumbent candidates have announced their plans to seek re-election in 2016. Cass County Surveyor Jenny Clark plans to seek a fifth term . She was appointed to the position in April 2000 and was re-elected that fall. She says the county surveyor is responsible for regulated drains in Cass County and that during her term, many drain maintenance and reconstruction projects have been completed, with three more reconstruction projects set for 2016.
County Commissioner Jim Sailors also said yesterday that he plans to run for a third term representing the 2nd district as county commissioner.
Sailors was also appointed to fill a term initially; 2016 will mark his 9th year in office. He says a number of projects are in the works that he would like to see completed, and he’s optimistic about good relations with Logansport city government.
Candidates can begin filing to have their names on the ballot on January 6.
