Importance of Wearing Motorcycle Helmets by Deputy

A motorcycle crash Monday morning had a Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy once again acknowledging the importance of helmets. Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Shannon said Wallace Gebhardt, 36, Logansport, was heading east on 75 North on a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he struck a deer. Shannon added Gebhardt reported applying the brakes upon seeing the deer jump out onto the road but couldn’t avoid the animal. Gebhardt sustained road rash and soreness in the crash and Prompt Ambulance Central transported him to Logansport Memorial Hospital.
