Motion To Fire Galveston Town Marshal Raised

A motion to terminate Galveston Town Marshal Shawn Durham has been raised. He reportedly violated the police department’s rules of conduct when he refused to give Town Council President John Hart the keys to the police station, keys to cars, and passwords to computers. The Pharos-Tribune also reports that Durham secretly recorded a conversation with himself, Hart and another councilman, and then released a portion of the conversation out of context to the media. The meeting is scheduled for 7pm tonight at the Galveston Community Center.
