Strong Opposition To Proposed Hog Farm

A lot of people – not happy about a plan to build a big hog farm at Royal Center. Developers Aaron and Farrah Hines, of Burnettsville, are planning the operation for 1100 West and 500 North in Cass County. They say there would be no more than 48-hundred hogs in each of two buildings. The plans call for manure to be stored underneath the buildings before being injected into area farm fields as fertilizer. A group of residents opposed to the project have hired an attorney. They say their biggest concern is too much traffic on the roads around the farm.
