Cass County Plans Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Day

The Cass County Recycling District will hold its annual HHW Day on September 24th at Logansport High School. Residents will be able to dispose of various hazardous waste items from 9am to 12pm for no charge. You must be a Cass County resident to use the program and donations are appreciated. Items accepted will be oil based paints, flammable liquids like paint thinner, insecticides, pesticides, corrosives, adhesives, household cleaners, swimming pool chemicals, acids and bases, and prescription drugs. Other items that are NOT allowed are asbestos, explosives, ammunition, infectious waste, radioactive material, propane tanks, and latex paint. You can call 574-732-9253 for more information.
