Lawsuit Filed Against INDOT After 2014 Logansport Crash
A lawsuit has now been filed against INDoT after a 2014 crash in Logansport. Gene and Kathy Knight allege that INDoT and two contractors – United Consulting Engineers and Primco Incorporated were negligent in designing, engineering, constructing, marking and maintaining a stretch of the Hoosier Heartland Highway. The Knights were involved in a serious crash when another driver ran a stop sign at Burlington Avenue and struck their car. It flipped at least once and came to rest on its top. After being denied a claim for damages by the state last year, the Knights filed this lawsuit in Cass Circuit Court. INDoT has previously said that it is working to improve safety at the four intersections that make up the Tyson Exchange.
