Police Call Off Search For Fleeing Man Overnight
Law enforcement officers swarmed the area around Twelve Mile last night in search of a man who took off as police tried to serve a warrant on him. Deputies have not formally identified the man, but said they lost track of him in a corn field near 700 East and 800 North. At least one K9 was brought to the scene in an attempt to get a scent track on the suspect. The man’s vehicle was found nearby, but officers called off the search after dark without finding the man. The warrant was for domestic battery and strangulation.
