Logansport Man Killed In Crash Near Wabash

A Sunday crash near the town of Wabash has claimed the life of a man from Logansport. It happened just after two in the morning Sunday along US 24 near Stitt Street, according to Wabash County deputies. The driver of the Buick Park Avenue is identified as 25 year-old Dakota Jackson, of Kokomo. Three other people were riding in the car with him when he lost control and flipped the car at least once. It came to rest on its top. In the back seat was 26 year-old Derik Stearns, of Logansport. He was flown by air ambulance to Fort Wayne, but died of his injuries Sunday. Two other people, 20 year-old Brianna Thomas and 23 year-old Michael Grenier, both of Peru, were also slightly injured.
