Make A Difference Day Organizational Meeting Scheduled

Local residents and organizations interested in participating in a community-wide effort to improve the community through various projects are invited to an organizational meeting. A local Make A Difference Day informational meeting will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 14 in the Logansport city council chambers on the third floor of the City Building. Mayor Dave Kitchell says the meeting is being held to identify potential city projects that can be advanced or completed on Oct. 22, which is this year’s Make A Difference Day. Make A Difference Day was created in 1992. It is sponsored by USA Today. Past projects have included painting, construction, cleaning and trail work. School groups, service clubs, church congregations and sororities and fraternal organizations are encouraged to participate.
