Pence Announces Disaster Loans For Tornado Damage

Due to the storms that hit central Indiana beginning Aug. 24, Gov. Mike Pence has requested federal low-interest disaster loans for Howard County. If accepted, the counties surrounding Howard would also qualify for the loans. Those counties are Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Grant, Miami and Tipton. Affected residents, businesses and certain nonprofit organizations would be eligible to apply. The program is administered through the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Indiana Department of Homeland Security continues to coordinate actions to deal with the aftermath of the storms.
