Cass County Clerk Beth Liming says a handful of ballots have already been mailed to those who have requested to vote absentee by mail.
"You do have to mark a reason on the application but there's multiple reasons on there. Anyone can anymore. There is application for a mailed ballot to be mailed to you. There's also one for travel board. Travel board would be anyone that is basically shut in or has gone tot he hopsital last minute right before the election day or anything like that. We do do some email ballots. If there's anyone that has a family member or someone that is overseas, and would like to vote by email, we've got that capability.
Another important deadline is just over two weeks away."One of our first deadlines coming up is registering to vote which will end on Monday, April 6 at 4 p.m.Keep in mind that you do not need to register to vote again if you already are registered. If you've done an address change, it's a good idea to get in there and get your address updated with us. You can do an address change at the polls, there's just a lot more paperwork to fill out there."
More information is available on the county's website at co.cass.in.us or by calling the Clerk's Office.
"They're actually calling voter registration and that direct number is 753-7870. This is just the City of Logansport for the primary, so you're only going to be voting if you live within that city limits.
