Logansport Municipal Utilities has received reports of a scam. LMU Superintendent Paul Hartman says a couple of local businesses have reported receiving calls from an 866 number threatening to shut off their utilities. Hartman says if an LMU customer is facing shutoff, they’ll receive a notice by mail. If someone receives a suspicious call, they should hang up and notify police or contact LMU with questions.
