E-WASTE, MEDICINE COLLECTION APRIL 18 IN WALTON

The Cass County Solid Waste Management District will host a special electronics collection event this Saturday, April 18, 2015. It will take place from 9-Noon in front of the Walton Town Hall. This will be the first e-waste event the District has conducted in Walton and is open to all Cass County residents.

The e-waste that can be brought to the event includes televisions, computers, microwaves, DVD players and the like, that need to recycled. While there is no charge for this service, donations will be accepted.

Simply load up the e-waste, and bring it to the Walton Town Hall Saturday from 9-Noon, and the crew from RecycleForce will unload it for you.

The last time the CCSWMD hosted an electronics collection event like this, over 10,000 pounds was loaded in less than three hours.

In addition to the electronics, the District will be conducting a medicine collection at the same time. We will be accepting old or expired medications. Simply place the pills in a plastic baggie, and bring them with you. Sharps and inhalers will not be taken.
